The Fiscal Exchange

Who are we?

We are a dedicated program at Virginia Tech sponsored by the Controller’s Office and Student Affairs focused on fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among fiscal employees. Our mission is to support and enhance the communication and cooperation between central and departmental finance teams.

What do we do?

Collaborate with Experts. We work closely with finance subject matter experts to identify key topics for discussion.

Annual Events. We organize four sponsored events each year in person and online, featuring expert speakers in the finance division.

Communication. We maintain a robust weekly email listserv to keep all participants informed and engaged.

Updates and Policy Insights from Tax Compliance and Payroll

Join us for an informational session on tax compliance and payroll updates. Experts from the Tax Compliance and Payroll departments will share updates and policy insights into tax responsibilities, payroll processing, and more. This session is designed to help employees and stakeholders better understand key processes and stay up-to-date on their financial obligations. You can submit questions prior to the event on the Q&A form. This online session is hosted by The Fiscal Exchange on Thursday, November 13th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
