The Fiscal Exchange

Who are we?

We are a dedicated program at Virginia Tech sponsored by the Controller’s Office and Student Affairs focused on fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among fiscal employees. Our mission is to support and enhance the communication and cooperation between central and departmental finance teams.

What do we do?

Collaborate with Experts. We work closely with finance subject matter experts to identify key topics for discussion.

Annual Events. We organize four sponsored events each year in person and online, featuring expert speakers in the finance division.

Communication. We maintain a robust weekly email listserv to keep all participants informed and engaged.

Upcoming Event!

The Fiscal Exchange invites you to Understanding Procurement Policies and Procedures on Tuesday, August 26th, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., featuring Emma Ruby, Team Lead IT Procurement, and Bryan Holloway, Team Lead Procurement. In this session, the experts will walk us through important procurement policies and procedures. They’ll address pre-submitted questions and open the floor for a live Q&A, offering valuable insights into the procurement process and how it impacts organizational operations.
